sale of goods act

http://whatconsumer.co.uk/the-sale-of-goods-act/

i.Tec enigm@) have helped many customers secure a complete exchange / refund / free repair on Laptops/Pcs/Tvs that are out of the usual (12 month warranty)

HOW ?

We offer a unique service, having been informed theres nothing you can do because your standard warranty has expired !

(i.Tec) will inspect your equipment to identify the fault, once you have your inspection report you simply visit the place of purchase

explain that you have an independant  inspection  report and that you wish to exercise your rights under the  (Sale of Goods Act 1979)

Amazingly! many large store managers dont understand this act !! so an initial rejection is normal & you may be informed that you need to contact the

manufactuer!

this is not true your claim rests with the store the item was purchased from.

WHAT IS THE SALE OF GOODS ACT?

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 is perhaps the most useful and relevant to the problems many consumers face when they make purchases on the High Street, online or by mail order. It is worth knowing about this piece of legislation, in terms of what rights you have and how you can resolve the situation, because not all shops can be relied on to act in an honourable or lawful way.

The main focus of the Act is the provision of three statutory rights, although the act goes on to describe exactly what consumers are entitled to if any of these statutory rights are breached.

There is some confusion about how the Sale of Goods Act applies to second-hand goods, items purchased on the internet or by mail order, items purchased via a doorstep sale, or anything bought from an online auction or marketplace. This following sections will cover all these situations, and hopefully give you a better understanding of how the law protects you and what you must watch out for.

THIS LOOKS TIME CONSUMING & HOW DO I KNOW IT WILL WORK FOR ME ?

i.Tec have acted for many cliants and have a 100% success rate  in gaining compensation for our customers from other retailers

for to long retailers have been making huge profits by selling extended warranties with purchases when  the plain fact is under the (Sales Of Goods act)

you may have a claim against the retailer for up to (6 years)  from when you take out your purchase &  extended warranty is not always the best idea.

Even if you do have one you may not need to claim under it to get your equipment repaird

Some warranties offer a refund of part refund of the cost of the warrany if no claim has been made during its lifetime

so………why make a claim and loose that refund when you dont need to ?

plasma

SO CAN I DO THIS MYSELF ?

You can do this yourself, templated letters are available from many consumer websites.

Its always good to be sure of your facts before you begin, so an independant report from( i.Tec) will identify the problem, the cause of the problem and remedy.

Our customers then find it typical for Retailers to usually offer one of the following once correct legal grounds have been established.

A refund / part refund / exchange / free repair

Please note the Sale of goods act  is very specific and will seldom  help you if you have damaged equipment yourself from misuse or use it outside

of the (Manufacturers) guidelines.

MOST RECENT CASE – 04/07/2010

A cliant having had his laptop for approx (2 yrs) with a (standard 1yr warranty) brought his machine in to be repaired, having checked the laptop we advised it would cost approx (180.00) for the repair and suggested he with our help use the (sale of goods act) to remedy the situation, the store has now agreed to replace his laptop for a newer model after accepting our report.

OK I THINK THIS MAY APPLY TO MY SITUATION WHATS MY NEXT STEP?

We will then call you to discuss the matter and advise you as to weather we can assit you, we do not ask for payment at any stage unless were confident that you have a possible claim
